Tennis Canada oversees a wide range of initiatives and programs including community tennis, high performance player and coach development, competitive national teams for Davis Cup and Fed Cup, and the staging of international events like Rogers Cup in Montreal and Toronto. One of the largest and longest-operating national sport associations in the country, Tennis Canada was formed in 1890 and is a full member of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
TENNIS MATTERS - Tennis Matters is the fundraising arm of Tennis Canada, launched to ensure Canadian tennis development has the proper financial resources to achieve its vision of becoming a leading sport and recreational activity and to consistently rank among the world’s top tennis nations. Since its launch in 2005, Tennis Matters has raised over $14 million for tennis in Canada.
THE OPPORTUNITY - The Tennis Matters fund development department has experienced significant growth over the past five years and now seeks a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Manager, Events. Reporting to and working closely with the Director, Fund Development, the Manager, Events will provide organizational, administrative, logistical and/or consultative support for all Tennis Canada and third party events to maximize revenue generated at each. The position is full time however flexibility in hours will be required, particularly during the summer months, and travel may be required.
